It is Summer 1999 and this effort is evolving into a major annual project with minor revisions along the way. We'll try to make it more active this year.
Format:
This first page will serve simply as a journal. We'll
put little blurbs here, latest at the top about what we are up
to and pix of the girls etc.

August 14, 1999 Summer is waning and we are preparing for the fall. Barbi has been working in her third year since July 6. It goes well but she is very busy. We are preparing to interview our next au pair. Priscilla is returning to Costa Rica in September. This process is providing some of the incentive to update these pages so we can share photos with our next au pair. |
 This
morning the girls went out to try their new umberellas. We have
been buying back to school clothes this week getting ready for
the start of school. Helen and Fiona will start preschool at
the end of August. |

is a rare snap of the girls having a story with Barbi |
 Helen
and Fiona are also very fond of slumber parties which they are
apt to make anywhere they find themselves with pillows and a
couple of blankets. |

we find our curious girls listening to the sounds of the clothes
dryer |
 These
blocks have been around for a couple years. Only in the last
few months have they really gotten excited about actually building
with them. |
 Here
we have a slightly older snapshot included because there are
not many around of Dad. In this picture taken in Richard's office
at the retirement party of a friend, Fiona and Helen (background)
have just finished eating delicious chocolates. Helen has had
her face washed while Fiona still has her smile. |
 In this
last photo, the girls are ready for a little nature hike. Grandma
has just returned from Switzerland (last year) and brought knapsacks
for Helen and Fiona. |
